Bacon Cheeseburger Recipe
Step 1: Preparation
Lightly shape the ground beef into four 3/4” thick patties. To make mini slider-sized burgers, use a grilling basket with a latch to keep the sliders in place and easily turn them with one flip. Use a basting brush to onion slices with oil. Do the same with the rolls. Make a small grill tray out of tinfoil by curling the corners up. make it deep enough to hold all of the grease from the bacon. Arrange the bacon on it.
Step 2: Grilling
After seasoning the patties, place them on the center of the grill grates over medium heat. Arrange the onion slices and rolls around them. Remove the rolls as soon as they are browned. Grill the burgers uncovered for 13-15 minutes (160° F) for medium doneness. Flip them only once, halfway through. The patties should not be pink in the center and the juices should run clear. Turn the onion slices occasionally until they’re browned and tender.
Step 3: Building Your Burger
About one minute before removing the patties from the grill, top each of them with two slices of cheese. Combine the mayonnaise and mustard in a small mixing bowl. Spread this on the toasted side of the rolls. Place one burger on each roll and top it with two slices of bacon, a slice of grilled onion, lettuce and tomato.
