If you’re looking for a way to add a splash of color and flavor to your Independence Day festivities, this Patriotic Punch recipe from Blain’s Farm & Fleet is just what you need.
This beverage is not only visually appealing with its vibrant layers of red, white, and blue. But it’s also delicious and satisfying. Plus, it’s non-alcoholic, making it suitable for guests of all ages.
Served in quaint mason jars and sipped through Twizzler straws, this punch is guaranteed to be the star of your Fourth of July festivities.

Before you dive into making the 4th of July punch, ensure you have all the necessary supplies and ingredients for each colorful layer. It’s essential that you get drinks with varying sugar content, so the layers of colors stay separate.

Start by placing your mason jars in the refrigerator or freezer to chill. A cool jar will help slow down the mixing of the layers as you pour them. Then, add several ice cubes to the mason jars. The ice will also help keep the layers separate.

Fill one third of each mason jar with the red beverage. To keep the different colors from combining, make sure the beverage with the highest sugar content is on the bottom of the glass. We used Saranac Shirley Temple Soda.

Slowly pour the blue sports drink or juice on top of the red layer, filling the jar another third of the way. You can use the back of a spoon to slow down your pour, if needed. This spoon technique helps maintain the separation between colors.
Remember, the blue beverage should have less sugar than the red, but more than the white. We used Powerade Mountain Berry Blast.

Repeat the process you used for the blue layer, but this time with the white layer. Make sure your white beverage has the least amount of sugar. We used Sprecher Ripe Strawberry Sparkling Water.
Pouring slowly and carefully is key to achieving the distinct layered effect. Fill the jars up to the brim.

Complete your punch by adding a Twizzler to each jar, which can be used as a fun and edible drinking straw.
The punches are best enjoyed chilled. So consider making them just before the festivities begin to preserve the layers and ensure a refreshing beverage. You can drink the punch as is, or mix the layers to create a delightful new color and taste combination.
Don’t hesitate to get creative and adjust the recipe to suit your taste or theme. The most important part is to enjoy the process and the company of those you share it with. Happy Independence Day!
