This fudge recipe is easy to make and has been a Blain family favorite for all my life!

Begin by melting the butter and chocolate together in a sauce pan over medium heat until smooth.

Add milk and sugar to the mixture, stirring continuously as you bring it to a rolling boil.

Stop stirring, and allow the mixture to boil for three minutes.

Pour the hot mixture into a mixing bowl, and beat at high speed until thick (about four to five minutes).

Mix in the vanilla for a hint of added flavor.

Transfer the fudge into a lightly buttered 8×8 baking pan, then freeze until firm.
