Description

Valspar Pro-Hide Gold Ultra Exterior is a self-priming, 100% acrylic professional-grade exterior paint designed to resist fading and provide durable adhesion on properly prepared surfaces. This coating maintains color integrity over time while its mold- and mildew-resistant finish protects outdoor surfaces in moisture-prone environments. The low-temperature application capability down to 35°F extends the painting season beyond conventional limits, enabling project completion in cooler conditions when traditional paints cannot be applied. Its 100% acrylic formulation ensures straightforward soap-and-water cleanup for efficient workflow management. Available in 5-gallon Pastel Base format with satin finish, it offers reliable coverage for house and commercial exterior applications requiring fade-resistant, long-lasting performance.

Features

  • Self-priming formula eliminates separate primer step for streamlined application workflow
  • 100% acrylic composition resists fading and maintains color integrity over time
  • Low-temperature application down to 35°F extends painting season into cooler months
  • Durable adhesion ensures long-lasting performance on properly prepared exterior wall surfaces
  • Mold- and mildew-resistant finish protects surfaces in high-moisture environments
  • Simple soap-and-water cleanup streamlines application and tool maintenance
  • Ideal for residential and commercial exterior surfaces requiring dependable fade-resistant coverage

Specifications

  • Surface Prep: Remove surface contaminants with an appropriate cleaner, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. Remove peeled or damaged paint. Sand glossy surfaces dull. Seal stains with the appropriate primer. Caulk around windows, doors and other openings after spot priming bare surfaces. Knots and some woods, such as redwood and cedar, contain a high amount of tannin, a colored wood extract. If applied to these unpainted woods, the first coat of paint may show some staining, but it will be trapped in the first coat. A second coat will uniform the appearance. If staining persists, spot prime severe areas with a stain-blocking primer.
