Description

Valspar Pro-Hide Gold Ultra Exterior is a self-priming, 100% acrylic professional-grade paint engineered for fade-resistant performance on outdoor exterior surfaces. This satin-finish coating delivers durable adhesion and comprehensive coverage while resisting color fading over time. Its low-temperature application capability down to 35°F extends the painting season into cooler months, enabling flexible project timing beyond traditional warm-weather windows. The 100% acrylic formula provides easy cleanup with soap and water, while the mold- and mildew-resistant finish protects house surfaces in moisture-prone environments. Designed for professional contractors and experienced DIYers seeking reliable exterior protection with simplified surface preparation.

Features

  • Self-priming formula eliminates separate primer step on most properly prepared surfaces
  • Fade-resistant coating maintains color appearance and visual consistency over time
  • Low-temperature application down to 35°F for extended painting season flexibility
  • Durable adhesion ensures long-lasting bond to wood, fiber cement, and primed surfaces
  • Mold- and mildew-resistant finish protects against biological growth in high-moisture areas
  • 100% acrylic with easy soap-and-water cleanup for efficient tool maintenance
  • Ideal for exterior siding, trim, doors, wall and other surfaces requiring weather protection

Specifications

  • Surface Prep: Remove surface contaminants with an appropriate cleaner, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. Remove peeled or damaged paint. Sand glossy surfaces dull. Seal stains with the appropriate primer. Caulk around windows, doors and other openings after spot priming bare surfaces. Knots and some woods, such as redwood and cedar, contain a high amount of tannin, a colored wood extract. If applied to these unpainted woods, the first coat of paint may show some staining, but it will be trapped in the first coat. A second coat will uniform the appearance. If staining persists, spot prime severe areas with a stain-blocking primer.
