Description

Valspar Pro-Hide Gold Ultra Exterior Paint is a professional-grade, 100% acrylic coating engineered for superior fade resistance and extended-season application on outdoor exterior surfaces. Formulated with self-priming technology, it delivers durable adhesion to properly prepared wood, siding, trim, wall and masonry without requiring separate primer coats. The advanced low-temperature application capability functions down to 35°F, enabling contractors and property owners to extend project timelines beyond traditional painting seasons. This flat finish formula provides mold- and mildew-resistant protection while maintaining color integrity in harsh weather exposure. Easy water cleanup and strong coverage performance streamline workflow on residential and light commercial exterior projects, from full-house repaints to trim refreshes and architectural accent work.

Features

  • Self-priming 100% acrylic formula eliminates separate primer step for efficient workflow
  • Fade-resistant pigmentation maintains color appearance under prolonged UV and weather exposure
  • 35°F low-temperature application extends painting season into cooler months
  • Mold- and mildew-resistant finish protects surfaces in high-humidity environments
  • Durable adhesion to wood, siding, trim, wall and masonry for long-lasting performance
  • Easy water cleanup simplifies tool maintenance and job site management
  • Flat finish ideal for residential exteriors, architectural trim, and light commercial applications

Specifications

  • Surface Prep: Remove surface contaminants with an appropriate cleaner, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. Remove peeled or damaged paint. Sand glossy surfaces dull. Seal stains with the appropriate primer. Caulk around windows, doors and other openings after spot priming bare surfaces. Knots and some woods, such as redwood and cedar, contain a high amount of tannin, a colored wood extract. If applied to these unpainted woods, the first coat of paint may show some staining, but it will be trapped in the first coat. A second coat will uniform the appearance. If staining persists, spot prime severe areas with a stain-blocking primer.
