Accuracy holds to +/- 1/16 inch for reliable readings across the full 192-inch blade. A low-profile magnet and oversized hook grab onto steel studs and other common materials from both sides, freeing a hand for marking. The first 6 inches of the blade carry a double-sided anti-tear coating to protect the highest-wear zone, and double-sided printing keeps numbers readable regardless of tape orientation. A finger stop on the housing lets users control retraction speed for a safer, steadier blade return. Milwaukee reinforced the body for impact resistance and added a wire form belt clip that lies flat to prevent pocket tearing.
