Description
Oxygen is typically mixed with another fuel gas such as Acetylene in welding and cutting operations. As an oxidizing agent, it allows an acetylene flame to burn at 3600 K (3300 °C, 6000 °F); releasing 11.8 kJ/g. Industrial grade oxygen is not suitable for respiratory applications.
