Read More August 23, 2021 | Blain's Farm & FleetAs the cold weather approaches, you may begin to put away some of your outdoor tools and equipment for the season. While smaller tools can be easy to store, larger equipment, such as your lawn mower, can be more of a hassle.
If you have a V20 Craftsman Push Mower, you’re in luck! This mower has the capabilities to be stored vertically. This will help keep it concealed and out of the way during the colder weather. And it’ll give you more room in your garage or shed.
To vertically store your lawn mower, just follow the simple steps below from Blain’s Farm & Fleet and Craftsman.
The first step to prepping your lawn mower for storage is to release the bottom locks. These are red and can be found on both sides of the mower.
Now that you’ve undone the locks, you should be able to fold the mower’s handle forward. Push it down as far to the ground as it will go.
Next, you want to fasten those same bottom locks again. This will hold everything in place.
Now, release the top locks. These are located about halfway down the bars of the mower, on both sides. They are red and look similar to the bottom locks.
Once you’ve undone the locks, you should be able to fold the top half of your mower’s handle backwards. Fold it back as far as it can go.
The last thing you need to do is fasten those same top locks again. Now, everything should be secured into place, and your push mower should be all ready for vertical storage!
Find a narrow space in your garage or shed to store it until you’re ready to use it again.
