In this In this episode, Trevor Thomas and the Blain’s Farm & Fleet crew head up to Wisconsin’s breathtaking Northwoods to Indian Trail Resort on the Chippewa Flowage in Couderay, WI.

With peak fall colors as a backdrop, Trevor wets a line while chatting with John Dettloff, a lifelong fishing guide, historian, & resort owner.

The first thing the crew stopped by to see was the “Muskie Bell”, at Indian Trail Resort. John explains that when a guest catches any muskellunge, or “muskie” over 30″ long, they ring the bell to let the whole resort know and celebrate their success.

“Any muskie is a victory, and something to be proud, and this is a tradition we’ve been following for years and years”.

John has been at the Indian Trail Resort for over 50 years, he’s been at the resort in one way or another since he was two years old. He estimates that he’s caught, or helped others catch around 1,400 muskies over his lifetime.
