Purple Power (R) Aluminum Brightener Professional Strength Cleaner & Brightener works in seconds. The professional strength formula dissolves grease, oil stains, grime and road film. This product is for use on machine finished open pore cast aluminum only. An open pore aluminum surface is one whose surface has not been treated in any manner - that is, one whose surface has not been buffed, polished or coated. Not for use on the following aluminum surfaces: Factory painted, clear coated, highly polished aluminum alloy or chrome. Avoid spraying on glass. This Aluminum Brightener will remove the clearcoat or paint from aluminum surfaces and will attack highly buffed or polished surfaces by initially discoloring with the possibility of pitting the aluminum.
