Description

Our fast cutting structured tooth tungsten carbide carving bits are designed for greater material removal and effective cutting with minimum load. The versatile 1/4 Inch (6.4mm) diameter carving bit is made of tungsten carbide and is ideal for removing material from fiberglass, wood, brass, cast iron, plastic, epoxy, rubber, laminates, particleboard, and ceramic tile. For use with all Dremel high-speed rotary tools, the accessories work well for detailed material removal in applications like shaping, carving, engraving, hollowing, grooving, slotting, inlaying, making tapered holes, or freehand routing. The small tapered shape of the carving bit cuts in narrow and hard to reach places. Also makes flat or tapered side cuts while the tip makes V-bottom slots and grooves.

Features

  • Ideal for sharpening, deburring and general purpose grinding on most materials
  • Specially designed for working with conic surfaces
  • Fast cutting, needle - sharp teeth for greater material removal
  • Minimum loading
  • Teeth made of tungsten carbide, the hardest material next to diamonds
  • Use on fiberglass, wood, plastic, epoxy, rubber, laminates, particleboard and ceramic tile

Specifications

  • 1/4 In. Structured Tungsten Carbide Carving Bit
  • Overall Length: 1-1/2"
  • Shank Diameter: 0.125"
  • For best results, insert the accessory bit all the way into the tool and then back it out slightly before tightening down. This provides plenty of shank for the collet or chuck to hold onto the bit.
  • Secure objects to a stable surface while working.
  • Use the sides of the bit (rather than the tip) for effective cutting. The tip cuts poorly and can break under pressure.
  • If chattering occurs, increase speed.
  • Diameter: 1/4"
  • Quantity: 1
  • Application: Material removal
  • Type: Cutter
  • Weight: 0.8 oz
  • Size: 1/8" Shank
