For straight, wooden furniture legs and feet only, these furniture glides feature a smooth, metal surface that is safe for hardwood, tile and laminate floors. After drilling a small hole in the bottom and inserting the plastic housing, adjust the height of the glide by how far it is screwed into the housing.
