Description
The Genova 1-1/2" Schedule 40 Pressure Cap closes off the end of a matching PVC pressure pipe in cold water systems. The cap uses a SLIP connection that solvent-welds directly to the pipe, creating a permanent bond that holds under pressure. Approved primer and cement must be applied to both the cap's interior and the pipe's exterior before assembly, following standard PVC solvent-welding practice. The joint, once cured, forms a sealed termination point that keeps the pressurized line intact. The Genova cap (Manufacturer #30151) fits standard Schedule 40 pipe dimensions, so no specialty sizing or adapters are needed. The fitting is rated for cold water use only, so hot water and high-temperature lines require a different solution.
