Learn how to use hunting scent eliminator with the help of Blain’s Farm & Fleet.
The first step to scent control is to get the smell out of your clothing. Using a scent eliminator laundry detergent on your hunting clothes kills human odors at the molecular level.
Once you wash your clothes in scent eliminator detergent, it’s best to let them air dry or use scent eliminator dryer sheets.
You can also treat your clothing with scent elimination spray. The clear and odorless spray combats human odor as soon as you spray it on and after it dries. You can even use it on the bottom of your hunting boots before heading out to hunt.
Depending on the field conditions, the spray can be effective for a few days. You can use the spray on clothing that you’ve treated with the scent eliminator detergent or regular detergent.
There are also special hunting clothes that are designed to help prevent odors, such as ones from Scent Blocker. If you want to be extra cautious, these are a good option to use on top of other scent eliminators.
In addition to your hunting clothes, you can also use scent eliminator on your body. There are scent eliminating shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and soaps, which are all designed to hide human odor while you’re deer hunting. Once you’re out of the shower, apply scent eliminator deodorant to help keep yourself scent free.
Sometimes when you’re hunting for a few days, a shower might not be available. In this case, you can use scent eliminator field wipes. There are plenty of options when it comes to eliminating human odor.
