Description
The Bielefelder is a German dual-purpose breed known for being a "gentle giant" that excels in both large brown egg production (3-5/week) and meat production. Developed in the 1970s, they are auto-sexing, meaning day-old chicks can be easily distinguished by color. They are calm, hardy in both heat and cold, and have a unique "cuckoo-red" plumage
