Description
The KitchenAid Flex Edge Beater combines a coated metal beater with a flexible silicone edge, so one attachment mixes and scrapes at the same time. The silicone edge sweeps the bowl wall as the beater turns, pulling butter and flour back into the mix without stopping the machine. Cake batters and cookie dough come together more evenly. Buttercream and whipped cream also benefit from fewer manual scrape-downs along the way. Fitting 4.5-quart and 5-quart tilt-head models, including the K45SS and KSM150PS, this beater attaches and removes by hand, with no tools needed. Wattage draw stays within the mixer's normal range. Although the beater is labeled dishwasher safe, hand washing in warm soapy water helps the white coating last longer.
