The Purolator High Efficiency Oil Filter is built for long service intervals, delivering advanced engine protection that keeps contaminants out of critical components. The PL14612 uses high-density synthetic blend media paired with micronic filtration to capture and hold a substantial volume of microscopic contaminants, keeping engines cleaner over longer periods. Purolator selected silicone over traditional nitrile for the anti-drainback valve, a material choice that maintains oil in the filter housing during shutdown and guards against dry starts across all temperatures. A PTFE-coated gasket and textured exterior paint address the practical side of maintenance, making the filter easier to grip, install, and remove. The PL14612 brings purpose-built materials together for dependable filtration throughout its rated service life.
