Homestead tomatoes are a popular, heat-tolerant heirloom variety developed in the 1950s by the University of Florida, perfect for hot, humid climates. These semi-determinate plants produce large, meaty, 8–10 ounce red fruits with excellent crack resistance, ideal for slicing, canning, and sauces. They mature in approximately 80 days.
