Use these these plant food spikes with fruit and citrus trees and plants, and also palm trees. Apply once a season in early spring and mid-fall for best results. To use, start by thoroughly watering around your tree or shrub's dripline (follow the image on the label) to soften the soil. Use the chart on the label to determine the correct number of tree spikes, and place spikes around the tree's dripline at least 3 feet apart. Drive spikes into the ground in by stepping on them or using a rubber mallet until the spike is below the surface of the soil.
