Ferry Morse Organic Sugar Snap Pea

Description

This sugar snap variety produces sweet, edible-pods that are great to eat raw, in stir-fry dishes or in salads. With vines up to 3 ft., this fibreless, 3 in. sweet pod has good yields and is multiple disease resistance. Snap peas are great fresh or frozen, but not for canning. A 1979 All American Selections winner.

Features

• Sow in full sun in spring and late summer, will tolerate some frost and are very sensitive to heat
• Plants perform best when supported by trellis, support 2 rows at the same time by placing trellis between 2 rows and letting plants grow together
• Harvest when pods are filled out to encourage production
• When harvesting peas, do not jerk pods from vines since rough handling can cause plants to stop producing, it is best to snip clusters of pods from vines with scissors or pruners
