Our Detroit Dark Red Beet is a Ferry-Morse introduction that's ideal for home canning and pickling. This variety is high in vitamins A, B2, B6 and C. At maturity the beets will be dark red with globe-shaped roots that have crisp, sweet, tender flesh. The small, slender tops make delicious greens.
