Easter is just around the corner. And if you’re looking to add a twist to your egg decorating this year, why not try using shaving cream? Yes, you heard that right—shaving cream isn’t just for smooth skin; it’s also your trick to creating beautiful, swirly, marbled Easter eggs.
Not only do these shaving cream Easter eggs allow for a fun, hands-on crafting experience. But they also produce pretty, unique results you and your family will love. Plus, it’s a super easy method that doesn’t require any fancy materials or skills—perfect for crafters of all ages.

Supplies You’ll Need
- Hard-boiled eggs

- Fill your bowls with shaving cream. You can use individual bowls. But we recommend using a muffin pan to keep everything separated in the same container. If you want all your eggs the same colors, you can used one large container, instead.
- Add drops of whatever liquid food colors you’d like. The more food coloring you add, the brighter your eggs will be. Don’t be afraid to add as many colors as you want! Remember that the cream will create a marbled design, so keep that in mind when choosing your colors.
- Use a skewer to swirl the colors around and into the cream. Create the marble designs you want printed on your eggs.
- Roll your eggs into the cream, making sure they’re completely covered. If you don’t want food coloring to get on your hands, you can wear disposable gloves. Let them sit in the cream for at least 15 minutes. If you want the colors to be darker, you can leave them submerged for even longer.
- Remove the eggs from the cream. Then, wipe them off with a clean paper towel. Now, enjoy your beautifully-marbled Easter eggs!
