In this episode, Trevor Thomas & the Blain’s Farm & Fleet crew head west to La Crosse to speak with Jordan Briskey, a 21-year-old college student whose patriotism and care for our Vietnam veterans as a 15-year-old at Holmen High School, led him down a 6-year path of grassroots fundraising to build a local Vietnam War Memorial in Veteran’s Freedom Park to pay tribute to our fallen Wisconsin heroes.
Jordan was only 15 years old when he set out to create a Vietnam war memorial at Veteran’s Freedom Park, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The memorial is a scaled down version of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial that can be found in Washington DC. It is a wall that lists the names of the 1,163 Wisconsin residents who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War.
