Blain’s Farm & Fleet is excited to announce they will be teaming up with local animal shelters to help find forever homes for pets in need on August 17, 2019. Blain’s is participating in a national effort to help pets find forever homes on this day! Head to one of the participating Blain’s Farm & Fleet stores to support your local animal shelter.

What to Expect at Participating Blain’s Store Locations:

Each of the animal shelters in attendance will have information set up in the Pet Care Department. Customers will have the opportunity to sign up to adopt a pet, donate money, or bring in pet food and pet supplies for their local shelters. If you don’t have dog food, cat food, or any other pet care items, there’s no need to worry. Blain’s carries all the pet care products you could possibly need. If you’re still not intrigued, some of the local shelters will even be bringing in some of their shelter animals! Regardless of whether or not you are looking to adopt a pet, customers have the opportunity to help make a difference. Each year about 6.5 million animals enter shelters nationwide (3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats). Of the dogs entering the shelters, approximately 48% are adopted and 20% are euthanized. Similarly, 50% of the cats that enter shelters are adopted and 27% are euthanized (ASPCA, 1). Without the help of local shelters, animals in need would never find a home. Efforts like Blain’s Pet Adoption Day help raise money to keep these animals properly nourished which increases their likelihood of finding a new home. So please come to one of our Blain’s Farm & Fleet stores on August 17th.
