Instructions:
Take an edger or trimmer to the sides of your driveway to remove any blades of grass that may hang over and get in the way. We like the Black & Decker® Edge Hog® 2 - in - 1 Landscape Edger to get the job done quickly and easily.
Sweep the entire driveway clean of any debris using any large push broom. The O-Cedar® Professional Rough Surface 18" Push Broom is great for outdoor cleaning. Sweep it again while flushing the driveway with a garden hose. This helps remove dust and dirt trapped in small cracks. For proper adhesion, the surface must be debris free!- Scrub gas or oil-stained areas with Tide® Liquid laundry Soap and a stiff bristled brush. Use a sharp tool, like an Estate® Deluxe Digger, to dig out any areas that have been damaged by gas or oil. Allow entire driveway, including all cracks and holes, to dry completely before continuing.
Fill all cracks and holes with Sakrete® Concrete Crack Filler. Different sizes require different filler compounds. Use the recommendations on the bottle to ensure proper filling.
Apply Sakrete® Blacktop Sealer using the Excel™ 18" Driveway Coater. Apply in thin coats, and thoroughly mix the sealer before and during application. - Stay off the sealed surface for 24 hours. Then, step back and admire. Your driveway should look completely rejuvenated—and you can be happy it was done right, by you!
