Instructions

  1. Prep. Choose a well-ventilated area (preferably outside) and cover nearby objects with drop cloths to protect them from spray mist.
  2. Prepare bench. Knock off any loose and old paint with a quick sanding. The PORTER-CABLE® 6" Dual Action Sander is lightweight and easy to use. Next, remove residue from prepared surfaces with soap and water. Rinse and let dry.
  3. Prime. It is recommended that you apply one coat of Stops Rust® Primer to the bench. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s recommendations on the label for specific preparation, application, drying times and clean up.
  4. Finish. Apply one coat of Stops Rust® Forest Green Textured Spray. Making sure that all corners, edges and heavily pitted areas are adequately covered. Apply a second coat, if necessary, within 2 hours or after 48 hours.
  5. Admire. Your simple wooden bench has been transformed into something even more beautiful!
