Today, Kidde, in conjunction with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a voluntary recall to
replace Kidde TruSense Smoke and Combination Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarms. In certain instances, the product may
experience a delay in detection, or may fail to detect, smoke, which could compromise the alarms’ ability to alert
consumers to a potential fire. This involves seven Kidde TruSense Models in the 2040, 2050, 2060 and 2070 lines sold

This is in follow up to the Stop Sale Notices of September 14 and September 25, 2020. Specific models impacted are
found in the below chart. Kidde will work with end-use purchasers to quickly replace all affected units with alarms
offering enhanced features such as built-in 10-year batteries.

meet and exceed industry standards.

a.m. to 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
Based on our stop sale notice, you should have already segregated and discontinued selling the affected alarms. If not,
please do so immediately. All affected inventory should be returned to Kidde and a credit will be issued. The attached
cross-reference list contains SKU numbers of affected units as well as their replacements, where applicable.
