Unbleached parchment paper gives the liners a non-stick surface, so wings, fries, and cheesy frozen snacks lift away in one piece instead of baking onto the metal. Cleanup after cooking amounts to pulling the liner out and throwing it away, which also spares the basket's non-stick coating from scratching and heavy scrubbing. One safety point matters: the food has to sit on the liner before the air fryer starts, because the fan can lift an unweighted sheet up into the heating element. Reynolds does not recommend these liners for rectangular air fryers.
