Blain’s Recognized as One of the Best In-State Employers by Forbes

Blain’s Farm & Fleet is honored to be recognized as one of the Best-In-State Employers in 2019 according to a recent Forbes poll. This was the first year that Forbes created a ranking of America’s best employers by state. Blain’s Farm & Fleet of Illinois ranked number 93 out of 2,500 employers. The rankings were identified based on an independent survey from a vast sample of more than 80,000 U.S. employees working for companies employing at least 500 people in their U.S. operations. The employees were asked to rank their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family, as well as how they feel about the other employers in their respective industries. Furthermore, the employees were asked to give their opinions on work-related topics such as working conditions, salary, the potential for development, and company image. The number of employers awarded in each state differed based on the number of relevant employers and the size of the states’ workforce.

While retail stores around the country are struggling, Blain’s Farm & Fleet is pleased to remain a thriving business, employing over 4,400 associates across Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan. This number only continues to grow as Blain’s continues its expansion into the state of Michigan. So far, Blain’s has opened 3 stores in the state of Michigan, and they’re set to open another store in Holland, MI before the end of October. Blain’s was also recently recognized on Forbe’s 2019 list of America’s Best Mid-Sized Employers for the second year in a row!
