Blain’s Farm & Fleet offers supplies and support to those who have been affected by the devastating floods along the Mississippi River. Blain’s stores, located along the Mississippi River, have sent clean-up care packages to many local organizations to help support businesses and homeowners.
Local Organizations Receiving Blain’s Care Packages:
- Resources Unite – Dubuque, Iowa
- Quad Cities Salvation Army – Clinton, Iowa
- Davenport Salvation Army – Davenport, Iowa
- Habitat for Humanity – Moline, Illinois
- Corps Community Center – Muscatine, Iowa
According to AccuWeather, the Illinois River in Valley City, Illinois is forecasted to approach a record level of 27 feet this week. Blain’s wants to lend a helping hand and support these local communities as they withstand these horrific conditions.
“We’re fortunate to be family owned and to have the freedom to do the right thing by reinvesting in the communities we serve,” says Nicole Kilmer, Public Relations Manager for Blain’s Farm & Fleet. “It was important for our associates to help residents affected by the rising flood waters. The devastation families and businesses are facing presents a way for us to give back to the neighborhoods that are suffering.”
Blain’s Farm & Fleet takes pride in giving back to their local communities all year round through initiatives such as the Bert and Claude Blain Memorial Scholarships, the America Heart Association, the Kids Helping Kids program, FFA programs, 4-H Sponsorships, and various other local organizations.
