A shopper asked: Does it have replaceable or washable filter?? Oct 24, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Mark D: The filter is removable. I can't speak to the availability of a replacement filter, though. The filter itself is made of a thick material that is more like a vinyl rather than paper, so--again--I'm assuming it's hand washable.

That said, I've been using the vacuum for a year on a pellet and wood stove. It has been reliable and effective. No dust escapes, and cleanup has been easy. Suction feels slightly weaker than expected, but I attribute that to the heavy filtration required.

Jeremy V: I don't know about replaceable that would be something for the manufacturer. However, I'm sure you could rinse the filter if you must, but a good brushing outdoors will remove any residual ash. Overall this is a great vacuum and for the price it can't be beat. Very powerful and holds a fair amount of ash. Oct 25, 2013

Gary F: yes, the filter is both washable and replaceable. I bought a spare filter when I bought my unit, but I haven't needed to use it yet. the filter is vulnerable to hot sparks, so make sure all the coals are dead. Oct 25, 2013

Richard R: Yes, the units comes with one fiberglass filter. I bought an extra but in a year of vacuuming I have not needed it. When the original get really dirty, I take out my shop vac and clean it. Oct 25, 2013

A shopper asked: How long is the hose that comes with the vacuum when you purchase it? Jan 6, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Robyn O: I bought it in September 2013, the hose in about 49 inches front end to where it hooks into the green can base. There are also attachments that will extend length of hose depending on which attachment Jan 7, 2014
Reply to Robyn Good answer? Yes (1) No (0)
Gary F: The hose on the vacuum is 41" and the rigid pipe pieces are a total of 35". We don't use the attachments when we're vacuuming our pellet stove, we just use the hose and the silver rigid pipe and one black pipe. Jan 7, 2014

Jeremy V: It's about 3-4 feet long with the metal tube attachment. Plenty long to act as intended. The 2 plastic extension tubes add about 2 feet if needed. Jan 8, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Dennis T: I've had mine for a couple of years and still have not replaced the filter. It's pretty easy to knock the ashes off of the filter when you empty it although be sure to do that outside and upwind of the filter. The vacuum comes with all the attachments you need. Mar 18, 2014
Reply to Dennis Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Barry B: Yes it comes with all the attachments. It's always a good idea to have an extra filter, may not need it for awhile but when you do it's better to have. I love the vacuum & it's small & easy to store. Mar 17, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Mark D: The body of the vac, tube, and main wand are all metal. Internally, the filter is a thick material which resists heat/ash. This is intended to be used with warm ashes direct from a stove. I've been using it for a year on a pellet stove which was recently firing with no issues. Feb 19, 2014
Reply to Mark Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Tracy T: Only the pipe and the hose are considered heat resistant. It can be used with warm ash only. Feb 19, 2014
