Kevin Y asked: Does this come with a instruction manual of any type and does it come with a set of bushings to use to hook up and implement to it? Oct 25, 2013

Robert S: Yes there is a little sheet of directions, and bushings do come with it. If you are going to hook it up to a King Kutter tiller it does not fit. It is to thick to fit in between the frame and pin. I haven't used it on any thing else. So If you want to buy mine, it is for sale. Oct 25, 2013

Robert S: I don't remember it coming with a manual, but you really shouldn't need one.It does come with one set of bushings.
You'll need a set for each implement.Make sure you get bushings for a quick hitch. You're adapting from cat.1 to cat.3. Northern tool has them for a good price.

Frederick C: Hi Kevin. I don't recall if it came with instructions. Probably did and they were probably basic. It hooks up to your 3-point hitch just like any other implement, but have someone to help you. It is a bit heavy and the fit is snug where the lower arms slide in. You then just use a level and adjust the top arm to get it perpendicular to the ground. The height of the upper hook is adjustable. You need to adjust it based on your implements one time. You will need your own snap pins to attach it to the tractor. You will also need to buy the bushings for each implement. All that said, once it is on you will love it. I have it on my rear finish mower and on my rear snow blade. Hookup is a snap. I got mine delivered to the door from Blain's for less than I could buy one locally with tax, etc. Oct 26, 2013

gregory r: it came with one set of bushings but they were the wrong size. I had to buy three sets to fit my implaments. It also came with hook and a u-flange for the top bar. depending on what kind of implaments you have you may have to modify them a little to make it work rite. once you have it set up it works great. the instructions are a little helpful. William G: Yes it has basic instructions. Installation and use is pretty straightforward. It also had a set of bushing but check the fit in the Quick Hitch before you install them. I could not disconnect my mower as the fit was too tight. I had to file the quick hitch a bit. Not a big deal except that my land was pretty far from my tools. Oct 25, 2013

Brian E Z: I had to buy all the bushings separately and there are no instructions but it is very easy to use and it works well. Oct 25, 2013

A shopper asked: I have an IH3688, a little over 100 HP, this is the hitch that fits the wood chipper I want to use it for. The rating says "for under 50 horsepower" So can I not use this hitch for my chipper? The cat2 and 3 hitches are too wide to hook up my chipper. Any suggestions friend? Dec 2, 2013

Frederick C: I don't have a large tractor, just a 36 hp compact. You said it will fit your chipper. Did you also measure to be sure it will fit the 3-pt. hitch on the tractor? Look at the height of the PTO versus the height of the quick hitch. The guard on the PTO shaft on mine rubs a bit when in the full down position with the mower deck. If all those measurements look good, I don't see whey you can't use it. The hitch is very sturdy and will definitely pick up your chipper. I have wrapped a chain around the top hook on mine and pulled small stumps with it! Hope this helps. Dec 3, 2013

Luke D: If your tractor's 3 point hitch can be adjust to CAT1, you'll be able to mount this quick hitch to the tractor and use it for any CAT1 implements that are built to spec. The horsepower rating is simply to tell you how much power the hitch can handle without breaking. If you were to hook a large implement to the hitch and your 3688 and then really work it hard, the hitch would deform and break before the tractor ran out of power. You will likely find most CAT1 tools and accessories rated for tractors up to 50-60hp, this is why. Dec 4, 2013

Robert S: This hitch is made for a cat 1 tractor,I don't know if it will fit your tractor or not. I don't have any experience with cat 2 or 3 tractor. Not sure if the link arms would fit into the hitch. The pin sizes are different also.Assuming it does it sounds like you have a cat 1 chipper. I would be careful that you don't damage the chipper because it was designed for a smaller tractor. Dec 5, 2013

Kevin Y: I am not sure why 27hp would really matter. I think they are just trying to describe the general size of tractor that takes a cat 1 implement. I think as long as the chipper does not exceed the weight limit of the quick hitch you should be ok. It in no way connects to the pto. Will your 3pt lower arms fit with the cat 1 pins this hitch uses? Dec 3, 2013

Chris P: The 50 HP spec is basically just a reference to the general size of the tractor the hitch will fit. If your 3pt hitch arms will accept this hitch, it should work fine. I can't tell you if it will fit. You should be able to figure this out on your own. Dec 4, 2013

craig m: hp limit is for pulling capacity so you don't latch on to something that the tractor can pull but hitch cant take since tractor is simply power source for chipper and not pulling heavy load I think it would be fine just don't try to pull a disc with it Dec 3, 2013

Kevin Y: If you purchase, make sure you get the bushings that come with it. I had to ask 4 people at my local store to find someone who knew what I was referring to and knew where they were. Dec 3, 2013

Mark D: I have a 47hp Kubota that is right in the middle of a Cat 1 and Cat 2 3pt hitch. This quick hitch should work assuming your 3 point hitch arms and pins will match up. Dec 3, 2013

Robert S: I don't see what horse power has to do with using this hitch. Dec 3, 2013
