More About TriLink Chainsaw Covers and Cases at Blain's Farm & Fleet
Chainsaw bags and cases are designed to protect your chainsaw from bumps, dirt, and moisture while keeping sharp chains and oily parts safely contained. They make transporting your saw cleaner and safer, whether you’re tossing it in a truck bed or storing it on a garage shelf. With a sturdy case, you can keep bar oil, spare chains, files, and tools organized in one place, ready for the next job. Homeowners use chainsaw cases for seasonal yard cleanup and storm debris, while professionals rely on them for daily jobsite travel and equipment protection. From arborists and landscapers to campers and firewood cutters, anyone who values a longer-lasting, easier-to-carry chainsaw benefits from a proper case.
Transport for safety as well as for equipment protection
The Fuel
If you transport a chainsaw with fuel in it, it’s best practice to keep the saw upright, use a snug case, and avoid leaks. For long trips, many users empty the fuel tank and carry the fuel in its own container.
The Bar and Chain
In addition to a chainsaw cover, use a bar scabbard or cover to help protect the chain during transport. This will also keep the inside of your chainsaw box from getting damaged, and it'll minimize the chance of accidental cuts as you remove the equipment from the case.
Long Term Storage
If you use your chainsaw seasonally and store it for months at a time, take these steps to keep your equipment in good working condition:
- Clean the saw, remove debris
- Check it for leaks
- Drain fuel, or follow your manufacturer’s guidance
- Lightly oil metal parts
- Keep the case in a cool, dry place
