Blain's Farm & Fleet Camping Chairs

Camp chairs make it easy to get comfortable wherever the day takes you—by the firepit, down by the lake, or on the sidelines at a game. Bring one along for fishing, stargazing, outdoor concerts, or backyard barbecues, and you’ll always have a place to kick back. From compact chairs that pack down small to cushy loungers made for relaxing, there’s a camp chair for just about every kind of outing. If you really want to unwind, rocking camp chairs add a gentle back-and-forth motion that’s perfect for morning coffee or winding down by the fire.

Parents like having a quick seat at soccer games and campouts, while tailgaters appreciate sturdy frames and built-in cup holders. Camp chairs—including rocking styles—are a favorite for weekend trips, road trips, and festivals because they’re easy to grab, simple to set up, and comfortable to use. Whether you’re an early-morning coffee sipper, a mid-day lounger, or the last one by the fire telling stories, the right chair helps you stay out longer and enjoy it more.

Tips to help your camp chair last longer

1. Set it up on stable ground when you can, and avoid dragging it across gravel or concrete
2. Shake out sand and dirt after each use and wipe up spills right away
3. Let it air-dry if it gets wet, especially around seams and joints
4. Check the frame now and then for loose screws or bent parts
5. Stick to the weight rating and pack it gently to protect the fabric and frame

A little care goes a long way toward keeping your camp chair comfortable season after season.

FAQs

How do I choose the right camp chair size and features?

Start with weight capacity and seat height. A standard chair works well for most people, while an oversized chair gives you extra room to spread out. Low-profile chairs are great for the beach or concerts, and taller chairs are easier to get in and out of.

From there, think about what features matter most to you. Padded seats add comfort, mesh panels help with airflow, and cup holders and side pockets keep drinks and small items within reach. If you camp in cooler weather, look for thicker fabric and less mesh to help block the chill.

For features, decide what matters most to you: padded seats for comfort, mesh panels for airflow, cup holders for convenience, side pockets for storage, and a carry bag or shoulder strap for easy transport. If you camp in colder weather, look for thicker fabric and less exposed mesh.

What’s the best way to store camp chairs?

Before putting a chair away, make sure it’s clean and completely dry. Fold it up—or pack it into its carry bag—and store it in a cool, dry spot like a closet or garage shelf. Try not to leave it sitting in direct sunlight, damp areas, or a hot car for long periods, since heat and moisture can wear it down. If it uses a carry bag, pack it loosely so you don’t strain the zipper.

What’s the best way to clean a camp chair without damaging it?

Start by giving the chair a good shake to knock off dirt and crumbs. Then wipe the fabric with a soft cloth or sponge using mild soap and lukewarm water. If you run into stubborn spots, gently scrub them with a soft brush—no need to go hard. Wipe it down with a damp cloth to remove soap (don’t soak it) and let the chair air-dry completely in the shade before packing it away. Skip bleach, harsh cleaners, and high heat, since those can wear out the fabric and coatings faster.
