Blain’s Farm & Fleet is excited to announce they will be teaming up with local animal shelters to help find forever homes for pets in need on August 17, 2019. Blain’s is participating in a national effort to help pets find forever homes on this day! Head to one of the participating Blain’s Farm & Fleet stores<\/a> to support your local animal shelter.<\/p>\n

What to Expect at Participating Blain’s Store Locations:<\/h3>\n

Each of the animal shelters in attendance will have information set up in the Pet Care Department<\/a>. Customers will have the opportunity to sign up to adopt a pet, donate money, or bring in pet food and\u00a0pet supplies<\/a>\u00a0for their local shelters. If you don\u2019t have\u00a0dog food<\/a>,\u00a0cat food<\/a>, or any other\u00a0pet care items<\/a>, there\u2019s no need to worry. Blain’s carries all the pet care products you could possibly need. If you’re still not intrigued, some of the local shelters will even be bringing in some of their shelter animals! Regardless of whether or not you are looking to adopt a pet, customers have the opportunity to help make a difference. Each year about 6.5 million animals enter shelters nationwide (3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats). Of the dogs entering the shelters, approximately 48% are adopted and 20% are euthanized. Similarly, 50% of the cats that enter shelters are adopted and 27% are euthanized (ASPCA, 1). Without the help of local shelters, animals in need would never find a home. Efforts like Blain’s Pet Adoption Day help raise money to keep these animals properly nourished which increases their likelihood of finding a new home. So please come to one of our\u00a0Blain\u2019s Farm & Fleet stores<\/a>\u00a0on August 17th.<\/p>\n
