Registration is at 7:30 am and the opening ceremony and walk begin at 8:30 am.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Heart Walk- Life is Why\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6PyBq8AvZNU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Blain&#8217;s Farm &amp; Fleet is a proud supporter of the Bert Blain Memorial Heart Walk.&nbsp;In 1993, co-Founder of Blain\u2019s Farm and Fleet, Bert Blain and his daughter Jane Blain Gilbertson were asked to co-chair the first Heart Walk in Janesville. Sadly, Bert passed away just days before, bringing the reason for the Heart Walk even more meaningful to those who knew him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter my dad passed, it was important to go on with the first walk as planned, as hard as it may have been,\u201d says Jane Blain Gilbertson, now President and CEO of Blain\u2019s Farm and Fleet. \u201cBut, it\u2019s an honor to share our family\u2019s story and spread the awareness and importance of the fight against heart disease.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The following year the Heart Walk was named in honor of Bert, the second of only two Heart Walks named after an individual.<\/p>\n<p>Blain&#8217;s Farm &amp; Fleet is in the top 25 local company teams, nationally ranked, raising $262, 579 from Fall 2015 through Spring 2016.
