A GFCI is an extra level of safety in the event that a short occurs in an outlet, and should always be used in areas that have water in them. A GFCI will cut the power to the outlet if it detects a surge.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"garden-light-ideas\"><strong>Garden Light Ideas<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><strong>Path Lights<\/strong> &#8211; <a href=\"\/walkway-and-path-lights\/\">Path lights<\/a>&nbsp;are great for lighting up outdoor walkways, such as your sidewalk or stepping stones through your garden. Most models are solar-powered, so you don&#8217;t have to worry about a GFCI or a transformer. You can simply bury the stake in the ground, and let the sun do the work. When it gets dark, the path lights will illuminate the walkway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Edge Lighting<\/strong> &#8211; Edge lighting can be used along the edges of your landscaping to give your garden a great glow at night. You can also use solar-powered rope lights for the same effect. They&#8217;re both great options as you can shape them to your landscaping or edging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>String Lights<\/strong> &#8211; Outdoor string lights can add a whimsical touch to any garden or patio. When you&#8217;re buying string lights, make sure they&#8217;re approved for outdoor use. Weatherproof and wet location UL listed lights work best for outdoor lighting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jar Lights<\/strong> &#8211; Jar lights are another fun way to light up your garden. You can use solar LED lawn decorations that come with jar lights, or you can use lighted mason jars for a rustic, shabby chic touch.
