Then measure the heart girth by wrapping the tape around the midsection right behind the elbow and withers. This number can vary depending on the age of your horse:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>330 &#8211; Mature Horse<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>301 &#8211; Yearling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>280 &#8211; Weanling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>299 &#8211; Pony<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, other factors like height and body type can affect the accuracy of the weight measurement.
