Instead of trying to make your mashed potatoes at the last minute while juggling everything else, prepare these ones ahead of time by using your slow cooker. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These mashed potatoes are the perfect side dish for the holidays because there&#8217;s no last-minute prep work. Follow along with these five easy steps from Pam of Janesville, Wisconsin and Blain&#8217;s Farm &amp; Fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mashed-potatoes-ingredients\"><strong>Mashed Potatoes Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 oz softened cream cheese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2 cup butter or margarine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 package ranch salad dressing mix<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6 cups warm mashed potatoes* <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"mashed-potatoes-recipe\"><strong>Mashed Potatoes Recipe<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Beat cream cheese, butter, salad dressing mix, and parsley with your <a href=\"\/food-mixers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hand mixer<\/a> in a small <a href=\"\/mixing-bowls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mixing bowl<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.<\/strong> In a separate bowl, stir 1\/3 potatoes and 1\/3 mixture together, making sure to mix well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.<\/strong> Pour the mixture into your&nbsp;slow cooker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.<\/strong> Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the remaining 2\/3 of the mixtures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.<\/strong> Cover and cook on low for 2-4 hours. Serve the mashed potatoes hot. Use salt and pepper and any <a href=\"\/spices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spices<\/a> you want to add more flavor to the potatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Russet potatoes or Yukon gold potatoes work best. Prepare them without milk or butter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s it!
