Before you begin cleaning the leather, you need to vacuum up any dirt or debris that&#8217;s on the furniture. Use a brush attachment with your vacuum, and get in between the cushions. When you&#8217;re done vacuuming, wipe the furniture off with the microfiber cloth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2<\/strong>. For general cleaning, use a mixture of equal water and white vinegar. Make the mixture in a small bucket, and dip a corner of the cloth in it. Wring it out thoroughly so the cloth is only damp and wipe down the leather furniture. Use a dry cloth on every area that you went over with the cleaning solution&#8211;it&#8217;s crucial to keep the furniture from getting soaking wet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3<\/strong>. Aside from general cleaning, you might also need to get out some common stains. There a few cleaning solutions you can use when removing stains from leather furniture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ink stains<\/strong> &#8211; If your leather furniture has ink stains, you can use rubbing alcohol to treat the stains. Dip a cotton swab in the rubbing alcohol and rub it over the stained spot. If you need to quickly dry the spot, you can use a hairdryer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grease stains<\/strong> &#8211; If it&#8217;s a recent grease stain, use a dry cloth to wipe it away. If it&#8217;s an older stain, sprinkle baking soda on the stain and let it sit for about two hours, and wipe away with a rag. Do not use water, as it will only help the grease soak into the furniture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dark stains<\/strong> &#8211; If you have light-colored leather furniture, there might be dark spots. To remedy dark stains, mix one part lemon juice with one part cream of tartar to create a cleaning paste. Rub it on the stain and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
