Plus, it tastes delicious, too, making it the perfect treat for a snowy, winter day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn how to make maple syrup taffy with this simple recipe from Blain&#8217;s Farm &amp; Fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-youll-need\"><strong>What You&#8217;ll Need<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Real maple syrup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean, fresh snow<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmandfleet.com\/cookware-and-bakeware\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pan or Baking Dish<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmandfleet.com\/skillets-and-fry-pans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Saucepan<\/a> (one with a pouring lip will be easier to use)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"\/candy-thermometers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Candy thermometer<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional: treat sticks to wrap the taffy around<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"maple-syrup-taffy-recipe\"><strong>Maple Syrup Taffy Recipe<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n<p><strong>1<\/strong>. Find fresh, clean snow, and pack it into the pan or baking dish. Pack it down, so there&#8217;s room for the maple syrup. Put the pan in the freezer, or leave it outside to keep it cold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We suggest making the taffy outside, so you can enjoy the snow all around you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2<\/strong>. Pour a half cup of maple syrup into the saucepan. If you want to make more taffy, increase the amount of maple syrup accordingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bring the maple syrup to a boil using a medium-high heat. Keep a close eye on the syrup, as you don&#8217;t want it to burn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3<\/strong>. After the syrup comes to a boil, put in the candy thermometer. Once the syrup is between 235\u00b0 F and 245\u00b0 F, remove it from the heat, and drizzle it over the snow in the pan. Let the boiling hot syrup cool down for one to two minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. <\/strong>Pour lines of the syrup over the snow. Wait a few seconds for it to cool slightly. Then, while it&#8217;s still warm, you can wrap the maple taffy around a treat stick or simply eat it with your fingers.
