Instructions:
- Make sure feeders are placed at least 12-15 feet from any surface a squirrel can jump from, such as a tree, shrub, or house. You may have to move it farther if your squirrels can still jump and reach the feeder.
Mount feeders on the Stokes Select® Bird Feeder Pole at least 5 feet off the ground. To mount multiple feeders, use the Stokes Select® Double Hanger with Pole Extension. Place the Stokes Select Squirrel Baffle below the feeder. This will prevent Gray Squirrels and Red Squirrels from climbing the pole and reaching the seed.
Use the Stokes Select® Squirrel Proof Feeder in any situation where there are Gray Squirrels. It lets small birds, such as chickadees, titmice, nuthatches, cardinals and finches feed, but exclude Gray Squirrels. Even if Gray Squirrels get on the feeder, they cannot get inside the cage to access the seed, thus this feeder is ideal for decks, trees, and hanging close to houses.
Try using a seed squirrels usually find unappealing like Safflower Seed. It will help keep squirrels at bay, but birds such as Cardinals and Chickadees still love it.
Finally, divert squirrels from bird feeders by providing them with their own feeders and squirrel toys. The BELLE FLEUR Adirondack Chair Squirrel Feeder is a unique and attractively designed accessory that functions to hold a whole cob of corn. This feeder gives squirrels their own yummy treat and helps keep them off the bird feeders.
