Ric W: the cartons do "nest" one inside the other, but the two sides do not lay flat when you do that, it's more like a "V', and then you can only do that with about 7 or 8 before the "V" closes up. hope that helps Jul 24, 2014

These are only for Large eggs or smaller. This container will crack all your XL size eggs if you close it and put more boxes on top of it.
